Akrual: Jurnal Tugas Akhir Mahasiswa (JTAM) is committed to maintaining academic integrity and ensuring that all published articles comply with scholarly publication ethics. Therefore, all submitted manuscripts undergo a similarity check using Turnitin.

Screening Policy

1. Every submitted manuscript will be screened using Turnitin before or during the peer review process.
2. The Turnitin check is conducted to identify similarities between the submitted manuscript and sources available in the Turnitin database and other online sources.
3. The Turnitin similarity report is used as one of the considerations in assessing the originality of a manuscript.
4. A similarity percentage does not automatically indicate plagiarism. Editors will examine the similarity report to distinguish legitimate quotations, references, commonly used phrases, and similarities that may indicate plagiarism.
5. If potential plagiarism or other forms of publication misconduct are identified, the editor may request clarification and/or revision from the authors.
6. Manuscripts containing substantial indications of plagiarism may be rejected in accordance with the journal's editorial and publication ethics policies.
7. A revised manuscript may be screened again when necessary.

Authors' Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are original works and that all ideas, data, statements, and works belonging to others are properly acknowledged and cited.

Authors must use appropriate paraphrasing and citation practices and must not engage in plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or other forms of academic misconduct.

Turnitin reports are used as part of the editorial evaluation process and are not the sole basis for making publication decisions.
